These 2 positions are an excellent opportunity for able and ambitious mixed-methods public health researchers to be involved in developing and conducting public health research in a leading public health department. (The Shanghai Ranking currently places Public Health at the University of Bristol as 2nd in the UK, 3rd in Europe and 8th globally.)
The posts will involve applied research on three studies, two concerned with the mental health and well-being of young people in secondary schools, and the third with evaluating a community psychological services for adults linked to services addressing the wider determinates of mental ill health such as debt, unemployment and insecure housing.
Both appointees will contribute to the overall delivery, completion and dissemination of research funded by NIHR School for Public Health in Bristol in collaboration with other members of the School in England. You will require a range of research skills including preparing and managing applications for ethical approval, reviewing literature, recruiting schools and service users to the research studies, designing data collection tools, and the collection, management and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
Both positions are offered on an open ended basis with funding confirmed until March 2022 and the possibility of further funding extensions.
