As a biomedical student, Alya understands the impact social determinants such as ethnic and socioeconomic status have on vulnerable populations. Alya is interested in applying her biomedical knowledge and passion for research to uncover the underlying factors and propose innovative solutions to improve birth outcomes, in particular in minor ethnicities in the UK.
