About Kate

Kate is Co-Lead for the Public Mental Health Programme for the NIHR School of Public Health Research. She is a Professor of Primary Care & Epidemiology in the Department of Primary Care & Population Health at UCL. Alongside her academic work, she continues in clinical practice as a General Practitioner in North London.

Kate’s main research interests are in healthy ageing, mental health and public health. She has a particular interest in developing and testing interventions in primary care and community settings for people with complex needs. Her work includes both epidemiological studies and complex interventions in the fields of health and well-being for older people, disease risk/prevention and mental health.
