NIHR brand refresh: Guidance for NIHR School for Public Research members
The NIHR recently implemented new branding across its infrastructure. Changes include a new logo, brand colours, fonts and other assets. We are in the process of implementing these changes across the SPHR website and resources. If you need any materials or have any questions, please contact sphr.comms@ncl.ac.uk

What these changes mean for the NIHR SPHR
Logo
- NIHR SPHR has been given a new logo – shown below. This logo replaces our previous logo
- This new logo should be used on outputs delivered by or supported by the NIHR SPHR
- Please contact sphr.comms@ncl.ac.uk for the new logo or contact your member admin (we have versions that can be used on different coloured backgrounds and for digital or print purposes)

Templates
- NIHR have provided a new PowerPoint template for use. This replaces all previous templates. There are two template options:
- NIHR SPHR template – for work delivered by NIHR SPHR
- NIHR template – for work involving more than one part of NIHR
- These can be downloaded below
Poster template
- NIHR have provided a new poster template. The only option is portrait
- We have added the NIHR SPHR logo to this
- You can download the template below
- If the template doesn’t fit your needs, and you would like support to develop an alternative style of poster, please email sphr.comms@ncl.ac.uk
Fonts
- Inclusive Sans is the new main body font – please use this if it is installed on your system
- Where Inclusive Sans is unavailable, please use Arial
- Lato font (the previous main NIHR font) is no longer used
Font colours
- There are now new brand colours, to view these, see pages 34 and 35 of the brand guidelines
- Only use black or navy on white background for body text in presentations and posters. This is to ensure accessibility
