PHRESH recently hosted an insightful Collaborations Event, bringing together over 100 professionals from across the public health sector. It was wonderful to see so many people engaged and contributing to the dynamic discussions throughout the day.
A special thanks to Adam Briggs for delivering a captivating keynote on the intersection of public health, prevention, and politics. His thought leadership set the tone for the day, encouraging thought-provoking conversations.
The poster discussions offered a broad look at the innovative work currently being done to improve public health, while the panel session on effective stakeholder engagement sparked a deep dive into:
- The importance of community involvement and planning for impact right from the start of research.
- Key factors around audience, authority, and authenticity—who makes decisions, and who holds the resources?
Professor Peymane Adab, Director of PHRESH, said:
“Our PHRESH Collaborations Day was enhanced by attendance from so many colleagues from across higher education, local government and industry, who all contributed to a collective understanding of how we can improve public health impact. The conversations on the day were insightful and we look forward to maintaining the momentum with future events.”
