Four researchers from the NIHR School of Public Health Research have won a prestigious Emerald Literati Award for outstanding scholarly research.
The researchers – Stefanie Buckner, Calum Mattocks, Louise Lafortune (University of Cambridge) and Melanie Rimmer (University of Sheffield) – won the award for their paper An evaluation tool for Age-Friendly and Dementia Friendly Communities, published in Working with Older People.
It documented how they created an evaluation tool for Age-Friendly Cities and then pilot-tested it within a Dementia Friendly Community in Sheffield, generating policy and practice recommendations to progress the city’s work on dementia friendliness.
