The University of Exeter celebrated its’ first year as member of the SPHR recently with a full day of activities at Exeter City Football Club on Thursday 6th July.
In the morning, the University of Exeter’s School for Public Health Environments (SPHERE) welcomed more than 30 colleagues from local authority, public sector, NHS, community and third sector organisations for a free CPD workshop – ‘Evaluation Tools in Public Heath’.
In the afternoon, close to 100 staff, students, ECRs, public partners and Advisory Board members gathered for a research showcase, featuring updates from across the SPHERE and SPHR alongside short insights into Exeter’s current SPHR funded research projects.
Feedback from staff and local public partners was incredibly positive. The University of Exeter is now planning to build on this success, with further training delivered locally, both in person and online into the autumn and spring terms.
We hope to extend invites for any online events to our SPHR colleagues, also, so watch this space!
