This workshop will discuss the draft MRC/SPHR/NIHR Guidance on using natural experiments with early and mid-career researchers.
About this event
The UK Medical Research Council published its influential ‘Guidance on using natural experiments to evaluate population health interventions’ in 2014. A lot has happened since, and it was decided to update the Guidance. This has been done in collaboration with NIHR and the NIHR School for Public Health Research, and the writing team are currently working on the draft Guidance.
As part of the development process a number of workshops have been organised with experts worldwide to discuss and improve the MRC/SPHR/NIHR Guidance. We are also keen to include the viewpoints and thoughts from early and mid-career researchers, and the NIHR SPHR Network for the use of Natural Experiments in Public Health is the right community for this.
This will be a two hour online workshop on the 20th September 2022 (11am–1pm). We leave it to your own discretion whether you believe to be an early/mid-career researcher. More information will follow nearer the date
