Community –based prevention of diabetes (ComPoD)

The aim of this project was to assess whether an existing community-based diabetes prevention programme was more successful than the usual care received by those who are risk of developing diabetes to lose weight, modify other diabetes risk factors and improve their health.

Contact with the environment is thought to have a positive impact on our health and wellbeing, from better mental health amongst those living closer to green spaces to providing a place for healthy activities such as walking or cycling.

Changing environmental cues to reduce alcohol consumption

The aim of this project was to identify environmental stimuli that increase alcohol consumption and those that reduce it, in order to inform practitioners and policy makers.
