Advisory Board

The Board provides independent strategic advice to the School Executive on the development of its activities in the context of national and international strategic opportunities and priorities.

It includes nine professionals drawn from organisations and professional bodies with responsibility for developing and implementing public health measures, senior academic researchers in public health from outside England, and two lay expert members who contribute a public perspective.

The Advisory Board consists of:

Professor Bernie Hannigan, Director of Research, Translation & Innovation at Public Health England

John Hume, Chief Executive of People’s Health Trust

Ruth Hussey CB OBE, Chief Medical Officer for Wales 2012- 2016

Professor Frank Kee, Director of the UKCRC Centre of Excellence for Public Health Research (Northern Ireland) at Queen’s University Belfast

Professor Cecily Kelleher, College Principal, School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Population Science at University College Dublin

Professor Olle Lundberg, Professor of Health Equity Studies (CHESS)

Professor Laurence Moore, Director of the MRC/CSO Social & Public Health Sciences Unit, University of Glasgow
