Four members of NIHR School for Public Health Research have been appointed as NIHR Senior Investigators.
Professor Ashley Adamson, Director of the NIHR School for Public Research and Professor Helen Ward, Professor of Public Health at Imperial College London will join 41 award holders as members of the College of Senior Investigators, following its 11th annual competition.
Professor Susan Michie, Professor of Health Psychology at UCL and Professor Nick Warham, Director of MCR Epidemiology Unit at the University of Cambridge have been reappointed to the College of Senior Investigators.
NIHR Senior Investigators are eminent leaders within their field who make an exceptional contribution to clinical and applied health and social care research. They provide visible leadership within NIHR and play a vital role in how future health challenges are addressed.
NIHR Senior Investigators act as a key source of advice to the Department of Health and Social Care’s Director of Research and Development and Chief Scientific Adviser.
Professor Adamson and Professor Ward are two of six leaders in public health research who will join a network of experts containing almost 200 active NIHR Senior Investigators.
